Words with Mia is a word search for iPhone, iPad, and Android. On every board, words hide in eight directions: horizontal, vertical, and diagonal, forwards and backwards. You drag across the letters, or tap the first letter and the last one, and if the word is right it turns green and drops off your list. There is no clock, and no one is playing against you. The game has three parts: a daily puzzle, the same board for everyone playing that day in that language; the Word Path, 250 levels that grow step by step; and puzzle books that each change one rule of the word search, such as words that bend, ice over the letters, a clue instead of the word, or a honeycomb instead of a grid. Every language version carries that same full game, with its own word lists and its own themes, so no translated puzzles. Words with Mia plays offline, starts with 20 language versions, and is free on the App Store and Google Play: the daily puzzle is free in every language, and in your own language so is the whole Word Path. To go further in another language, the Home Pass opens one language of your choice and the World Pass opens them all.
How to play
This is the board from the app: the same tiles, the same colours, the same gesture. Drag across the letters, or tap the first letter and the last one. The words lie in eight directions, diagonal and backwards included. If you get stuck, ask for a hint: the first letter of the longest word you are still missing starts to blink.

What is inside

You play it whenever it suits you, with your coffee or late at night. Finish it and Spark keeps burning: the streak that counts the days you have played in a row. Spark does not care which language you pick, so a daily puzzle in Spanish keeps the same run alive.
250 levels, from a board with four words to puzzles you sit down for.
You start at level one and work through the path at your own pace. Every ten levels there is a surprise: a taste of a mechanic from the puzzle books, words that bend or ice over the letters. Every fifty levels there is a milestone, and at a few of those a puzzle book is waiting for you.
Small worlds that each bend one rule of the word search.
In Winding Path the words do not run straight but turn halfway. In Frozen Lake there is ice over the letters that has to melt first. In The Clue Trail there is no word list but a clue, and you work out for yourself which word you are looking for. Word Web trades the square grid for a honeycomb. Each book is its own series of levels around that one mechanic. Four to six are ready at launch.
Languages
Words with Mia starts with 20 language versions, and every version is the whole game: a daily puzzle, the Word Path with 250 levels, and the puzzle books, each with its own word lists and its own themes. So no translated English puzzles, but words that belong in that language. English, Dutch, and Portuguese have more than one version, each with the spelling and the words of that country.
At launch
20 language versions
If the puzzle language is not your app language, the word list puts your own word next to the foreign one. That way a word search in Spanish is also a way to pick up some Spanish.
A language opens its own page, in the colour of its seal and with its own progress. So your Word Path in Spanish runs separately from your Word Path in English.
The daily puzzle is free in every language, and in your own language so is the whole Word Path. In another language the first 25 levels are yours. To go further there, the Home Pass opens the language you choose and the World Pass opens all twenty.
